2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse

- All models add standard auxiliary input jack and 15 mm lower suspension
- Coupe models receive blacked-out roof panel on the painted steel roof
- GS adds two-tone front and rear fascias, dual exhaust, 18-inch alloy wheels, and standard stability and traction control

- Exterior colours: Satin Meisai, Maizen Blue and Quick Silver discontinued

For 2011, the Mitsubishi Eclipse and Eclipse Spyder receive a mild facelift. The models were temporarily discontinued for 2010 due to production dates. The 2011 models receive a slightly lower suspension and auxiliary input jack; stability and traction control, previously optional on the GS models, is now standard on all. The GS also adds two-tone front and rear bumper fascias and 18-inch alloy wheels. Bluetooth connectivity and a rearview camera are added to the GT-P and the optional Sun & Sound package on the GS.

Both the Eclipse and the Eclipse Spyder convertible are available as the GS, with 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine, and as the GT-P, with 3.8-litre V6. The GS uses a five-speed manual transmission or optional four-speed automatic, while the GT-P uses a six-speed manual with optional five-speed automatic. A small rear seat effectively turns both models into 2+2 configuration.

Features on the Eclipse GS include 18-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, variable intermittent wipers, intermittent rear wiper, heated mirrors, auto-down driver’s window, LED taillamps, front strut tower bar, leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilt column, cruise control, illuminated vanity mirrors, floor mats, keyless entry, manually-adjustable heated cloth seats, split-folding rear seat, and CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input.

The optional Sun & Sound package, for $3,300, adds premium Rockford audio system with subwoofer and Sirius satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, rear-view camera, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, external temperature display and power sunroof.

The Eclipse GT-P builds on the GS and adds automatic climate control, xenon headlamps, large rear spoiler, aluminum scuff plates, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, glovebox door damper, power sunroof, leather seats with six-way driver’s side power adjustment, exterior temperature display, Bluetooth connectivity, rear-view camera, and premium Rockford audio system with subwoofer and Sirius satellite radio.

The Eclipse Spyder GS is outfitted similarly to the Eclipse GS, but does not have a rear wiper or split-folding rear seat. It adds black cloth semi-automatic roof, premium Rockford audio system with subwoofer and Sirius satellite radio, Topstack roof up/down volume compensation, Bluetooth connectivity, rearview camera, and hard tonneau cover.

The Eclipse Spyder GT-P adds automatic climate control, xenon headlamps, aluminum scuff plate and pedals, glovebox door damper, leather seats with six-way driver’s side power adjustment, and exterior temperature display.
